Been stuck in the house these few days as its rainy here in Sydney. Abit of a downer since we had plans to beach on Bondi and work on our tans!
Nonetheless, Bency and I have been up to our usual nonsense; eating, sleeping, nua-ing and watching dvds, reading, and being messy (which means MAD cleanup maybe 2 hours before Roy gets back from SG, haha!) Towards the evening we'll lug our lazy asses out of the house for some fresh air, and then go down to Borders (where I'm currently working my way through Toni Morrison's Sula after having exhausted every magazine on the rack!) and a spot of grocery shopping. Rain is forecast for NYE but this one we're definitely going to brave cos we need to get down to HarbourBridge maybe by 3pm to get a good spot to see the fireworks!!!
Anyway, 2 nights ago I was at my lowest point since I arrived Down Under. My big toe had been hurting for some time and I finally voiced it to Bency as I couldn't take it anymore. After some examination and internet research, we found out that I had an ingrown toenail :/ And it seemed like the only way to deal with it permanently was to have some crappy day surgery at the podiatrist's. Sparing you the gross details, however, we eventually managed to make it better by cutting it real short (and then some. I will let on though, that Terence almost had to puke after helping me sort it out). And now the pain is gone :) I'm not sure how long it'll take before it resurfaces (if it does), but there's NO WAY I'm going to do anything that requires an anesthetic, and will resolve to keep that biggie short even if it means that it has to look like a stump. Closed-toe shoes will be out of my repertoire of footwear for a while also, which means YAY!!! Havaianas with EVERYTHING!!!
In the afternoon today, Bency darling was cooking rice in preparation for tomorrow's dish of fried rice he's dishing up. I guess this is a good example of how, even though guys always look totally spaced out when us girls are yakking away, they DO LISTEN!!! :))) Cos he decided to save the rice water for me to wash my face with (this is Budget SK2 for you!! I read it somewhere...... and told him about it sometime......) It's not gross at all, and smells like barley. I don't know if it heals blemishes/fixes existing conditions, but I did feel like my skin was really SOFT after!!! Get your mom to save some for you today!!!
Ok, I shall end here and begin my 15-hour (or so) sleepathon. It scares Bency but it REALLYYYYYYY makes me happy in this weather :) Baha. See you soon with my X'mas report!
