This time last year Bency and I were at the Botanical gardens camping out for the spectacular fireworks display, which will be taking place in a couple hours time. HAHAHA. Those poor people. Abt 6 hours to go. Last year twas drizzly, today it's just amazingly hot. Just had an indoor tanning session in the room with windows open and I think I'm a little darker alr! Very hot la. So I don't have much patience to tan since I can't doze. Hmmm... no plans for tonight except play with sparklers! I think. We'll see. Very nua now heh.
How was Christmas??? :) Our's was really low-key... After waking up just spent the whole time shredding chicken and chopping garlic and shallots and preparing to cook dinner for all of us. Then everyone came together for dinner and that was about it. HAHAHA... Well after the 25th then everything started to pick up, and might I say, even get more exciting! Boxing Day sales I bypassed on the day itself cos I'm not one for crowds (AND QUEUES), but the next few days were really fun!!!! We hit the city and Bency was so awesome while I shopped, even wanting to draw cash for me so I could shop somemore after I ran out of monies AWWWW. Barbie by Bronte Beach with friends the day after, then yesterday Oxford Street where we explored some really nice bookstore-cafes and such. I went running for the first time since I arrived (which HAHA is only a week and a day so far), and we rounded off last night with a turn in the jacuzzi :)
More trivially, internet's been sucky so I haven't been on the net much (not that I mind), we re-discovered a Bubble Tea chain, and Shelley is out of the closet now and INFLATED!!!! Woohoooohooooo!! All these in a photo post coming right up... internet connection not ideal for uploading pics now.
On the last day of 2010, I am thankful for the amazing year that passed. It was a really good year, and I thank God for everyone and everything in my life. My highlight would have to be the impromptu trip to Germany and Holland in June/July, and being there right smack in the midst of the latter country's World Cup journey was really, really special. And I'm glad I shared that experience with my favourite person ;) Right now, can imagine at least ONE other person sharing my sentimentality for the Netherlands HAHAA.
For 2011, I'm not making resolutions again, but I am looking forward to an even more incredible time of growth, a new chapter in life, and more balance in all aspects. I'm excited! :) And to all my friends, I wish for all of you good health and great times in the New Year. HAPPY 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
